Building Information Modelling (BIM)

JPTA is able to provide three-dimensional solutions for projects through the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM). BIM is the process of generating three-dimensional, real-time, dynamic building models for use as contract documentation tools. The process produces building geometry, spatial relationships, and quantities and properties within a large database platform.

The process assists in creating accurate cost estimates and it allows for virtual coordination between consultants so that on-site issues can be minimized. This assists in maintaining the construction schedule and budget. Using BIM requires many decisions to be made early in the design process by all parties which assists in expediting project documentation while maintaining quality control. The high level of multidiscipline coordination built into the process requires the project team to be efficiently transferring, reviewing and integrating real-time project information.
